After several years in small private colleges, I have currently gone back to the future by teaching middle and high school students (Life, Earth science and Physics) while experiencing all that it takes to accomplish that endeavor. Moreover, I have a breadth of preparation and experiences that have been utilized throughout my career. Specifically in regard to teaching, I have been teaching biological and physical science based courses at the middle/secondary and college levels throughout my teaching career. Also, I have attained five subject area public school teacher certifications (TX) as well as the college regional accrediting recommended standard in three different disciplines that have allowed me to serve in various capacities within the middle, secondary schools and colleges/universities in which I have been employed. I have teaching and administrative experiences at the middle, secondary and college levels dealing with a broad spectrum of instructional, curriculum and supervisory areas as well.
Also, I have teaching, academic committee service and supervisory experiences at five universities, budgetary responsibilities at four universities, supervisory experiences of all student teachers departmentally at three universities, served on Teacher Education Councils - engaging a multifaceted array of academic disciplines - at three universities, design and implementation of curriculum at three universities, served on different academic accreditation committees at two universities and administrative experiences as departmental chair/head at three universities, served on Faculty Senate and Affairs committees at two universities and recently served on a university’s Graduate Council as well as in other academic areas as a full professor and department head.
