I got my bachelors of science in geology at University of Arkansas Little Rock in 2015. My overall GPA was 3.91 and my major GPA was a 4.0. I received my department's highest honor: Outstanding Senior Geologist.
I've been tutoring and teaching since the beginning of my college education in 2012. I began as a teaching assistant during my first year as a geology major. I was a TA and tutor for intro to geology, historical geology, field 1 and field 2 (field camp), earth and the environment, and surficial hydrology and the accompanying labs for those courses. During my two years of grad school, I was an instructor for intro to geology and earth and the environment as well as those labs. I received excellence in teaching awards every semester. In addition, I've taught several geology sections of summer camps for students entering 6th thru 12th grades. I also designed and taught a two week summer geology camp in 2016 for students entering high school. The reviews I received for all of those teaching and tutoring experiences all report that my passion for geology made students eager to learn and that I'm great at breaking down complex concepts into simple and easy to understand terms.
