Hello! My name is Tamerik, and I am an incoming PGY-1 Emergency Medicine resident physician. I graduated from medical school earlier this year with summa cum laude honors and have over 5 years of tutoring and teaching experience.
I work with students ranging from high school (14–18 years old) through medical school, with a focus on making difficult concepts clear and intuitive. My goal is not just to help you memorize material, but to help you truly understand it so you can apply it confidently on exams.
I specialize in anatomy, physiology, and USMLE Step preparation. During medical school, I served as an anatomy and physiology tutor from my second year onward and later became a senior anatomy tutor. In that role, I taught body systems, musculoskeletal anatomy, and disease processes, often breaking down complex material using whiteboard teaching and guided discussion.
My teaching style is interactive and tailored to each student. I often use methods like:
“Tell me what you already know”
Whiteboard walkthroughs
Step-by-step reasoning through questions
I respond quickly and am easy to reach. Feel free to message me with any questions or to schedule a lesson.
