My background combines engineering, manufacturing, product development, and digital art, allowing me to teach software from both a technical and creative perspective. I have spent years using Autodesk Fusion 360 in professional manufacturing environments, creating parametric models, CAD/CAM workflows, CNC toolpaths, production drawings, and solving real-world engineering challenges. My experience extends beyond software into fabrication, product development, and design for manufacturing, giving students insight into how these tools are used professionally.

I also earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Animation from Full Sail University with a 3.5 GPA and continue expanding my technical knowledge while pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. My experience includes Autodesk Maya, ZBrush, Substance Painter, UV mapping, PBR texturing, rendering, hard-surface and organic modeling, and production workflows for animation and visualization. Whether the goal is mechanical design or digital art, I focus on teaching the principles behind the tools so students understand both the process and the reasoning.

I have worked with students ranging from complete beginners to professionals looking to improve their workflow. Every lesson is tailored to the student's goals, experience, and learning style. My approach is hands-on, patient, and practical, emphasizing problem-solving rather than memorization. I enjoy breaking complex concepts into manageable steps, helping students build confidence while developing skills they can apply independently. Whether you're learning Fusion 360, Maya, or related design workflows, my goal is to help you become a capable and confident creator—not just someone who knows which buttons to click.

Approved Subjects

Animation

Animation

I am currently seeking an undergraduate degree in Animations with Full Sail University. I'll be graduating soon and moving on to pursue a master's in Game Dev. Through my studies and portfolio classes with Full Sail I've become proficient in basic animations using Maya. I have much to learn but also feel like I have enough time animated in Maya that I could be helpful to someone who is struggling with the basics like block outs, strong posing, and efficiently using the graph editor to your advantage.
AutoCAD

AutoCAD

I have over ten years experience designing and teaching in Fusion 360. I have a manufacturing background using Fusion to prototype and export code. I've had several successful students that have gone on to take what I teach them and apply it to their own designs. I also have knowledge and expertise on using Fusion 360 to render, draw tech plans, and create machine specific toolpaths.
Autodesk Maya

Autodesk Maya

I am currently seeking an undergraduate degree in Computer Animations with Full Sail University. I spend approx. 30 hours a week working in Maya on various student and personal portfolio projects. Over the past few years I have gained an extraordinary amount of knowledge and information in the assets production pipeline such as lighting, PBR workflow, high poly baking and rendering. I have enough working knowledge of the software and workflows associated with it, that I feel I could be of some benefit to someone in need of some guidance.

Tailored Lessons for a Real-World Project

I had two lessons with him, and they were exactly what I needed. I came into Fusion 360 with no CAD experience and a fairly niche project that didn’t fit a typical beginner tutorial. After I showed him my model and explained what I was trying to accomplish, he adapted each lesson to my project instead of teaching from a script. We worked through things like creating sweep paths, troubleshooting sketch issues, and discussing different ways to model specific features so I understood the reasoning behind each approach. He answered every question I had without making me feel rushed and focused on giving me the tools to solve future problems on my own. By the second lesson, I only needed guidance on a few specific features, which says a lot about how well he taught the fundamentals. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for practical, personalized Fusion 360 instruction.

Clear and Informed!

Jason taught me what I needed to know and answered all my questions. He was patient and clear, and catered to where I was at and where I wanted to get. Highly recommend.

very helpful

I learned some tricks of geometry modeling I didn't know. Very patient but also moved fast enough that we got stuff done

Excellent First Session!

Jason listened. He absorbed my challenge as I shared with him my reason for wanting to learn Fusion 360. Looking forward to the second lesson with Jason soon.

Knowledgeable and patient tutor

Jason was a big help in fast tracking my learning curve. Is he knowledgeable, professional, and patient. I had many things wrong with my own drawings and he helped solve and teach me how to fix them in Fusion 360. I would recommend him to others and I will be taking more lessons to help pass my classes.

Great Experience

Jason was patient and had a great approach to teaching. Willing to answer questions along way but keeping us on track at the same time. He listened to my unique needs and approached his lesson in a way that I could apply it to my use case for learning this software. Thanks for the lesson Jason!
