Dear Students! I'm Shaymaa (shay-mah), an enthusiastic medical laboratory scientist (also known as medical technologist), holding a master's degree in biological sciences. I was a top student in both my graduate and undergraduate studies. I am certified in online education. Additionally, I am a certified medical laboratory scientist with the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP). Working in healthcare industry and academia prepared me for an online tutor role in microbiology and clinical lab sciences mainly for college students especially students in pre-nursing, pre-medicine, and medical lab science program. Additionally, I am an expert ASCP MLS/MLT exam tutor and offer career consultation in medical laboratory science.

I have been a university instructor in the USA since 2018. In a class, I start with the topic and the objectives of the lesson. Then I explain the lesson in attractive and enjoyable way which help keep students’ attention. I create a discussion environment to exchange ideas and ask questions. Lastly, I summarize the lesson, go over the main points, and ask if they have any question before they leave. I can always adjust my class and teaching approach based on the level of the class and student’s specific needs. My students always described me as an approachable, helpful and fun person to talk to. In addition, I have tutored classmate during my graduate and undergraduate studies in microbiology, and other clinical lab sciences and helped with difficult concepts that was very beneficial to them in passing their exams.

During my lab experience in the hospital, I have worked in all lab areas: microbiology, hematology, chemistry and blood bank. This helps bring a plethora of practical knowledge to my students.

For any class or tutoring session, I require students to clarify the specifics that they need help with and review the material before we meet.

Patient, Pleasant, Helpful and very Supportive Tutor

I had an amazing experience working with Miss Shaymaa. She was pleasant, patient, and knowledgeable, especially when guiding me through the ASCP Blood Bank section. She explained concepts clearly, provided extremely helpful study materials, and always made sure I understood before moving on. I specifically just needed help for Blood Banking, but I'm sure she's great in every aspect based on how she simplified the topics in the Blood Bank section of the exam. She is also very flexible — she works with your schedule, adjusts timing when needed, and even negotiates pricing, which shows how much she genuinely cares about her students’ success. Overall, she is an outstanding tutor and truly made a difficult subject feel manageable. Highly recommended.
