I hold a Master’s degree in Reading Education and am a certified Reading Specialist with training in Orton-Gillingham–aligned instruction. My work focuses on structured literacy intervention for students with dyslexia and other language-based reading difficulties. I use explicit, systematic teaching methods that build foundational skills in phonemic awareness, decoding, spelling, and fluency. My approach is grounded in research-based practices that support struggling readers in developing both accuracy and confidence.
I have experience working with elementary-aged students in both classroom and one-on-one settings, providing targeted reading intervention for grades K–6. Throughout my teaching career, I have supported students with a wide range of learning profiles, including those with diagnosed dyslexia as well as students who have persistent reading gaps. My instruction follows a logical sequence, with direct modeling, guided practice, and consistent review to ensure mastery before moving forward.
In virtual sessions, I provide individualized instruction tailored to each student’s needs. I continuously assess progress and adjust instruction accordingly so that students receive focused, skill-based support rather than general homework help. My goal is to help students develop strong reading and spelling foundations so they can approach learning with greater independence and confidence.
