Math, Science, and Spanish Tutor

I am a scientist and language enthusiast with a passion for learning and teaching. I hold a Master of Science in Geology from Arizona State University and a Bachelor of Science in Geology from the University of Delaware, graduating with a 4.0 GPA in both programs. My academic background includes extensive coursework in science and math, which I have applied to research and projects both as a student and as a young professional. I also have a strong interest in language, history, and culture, which led me to complete a double minor in Latin American and Iberian Studies and Spanish as an undergraduate.

My first tutoring experience came in my senior year of high school, when I served as a peer tutor for Algebra I. Seeing my student's progress and development over the course of the year was very rewarding, and I realized how much I enjoy sharing my knowledge with students and contributing to their growth. In college, I worked as a peer tutor for Chemistry, helping students prepare for their exams. My experiences as a both a tutor and student have shaped my tutoring approach and perspective, with an emphasis on real-world application of material, effective study strategies, and lasting comprehension. I strive to help students not only improve their grades but also to foster curiosity and confidence as lifelong learners.

I am also fluent in Spanish, which I learned entirely in the U.S. through school classes and consistent practice with native speakers in my community. Because of this, I understand the challenges students face in classroom learning and can provide effective, practical strategies to make Spanish more approachable. My goal is to help students gain confidence, build their skills, and enjoy the process of learning.
