With a Master’s in Teaching and a Bachelor’s in English and Business Administration, I offer tutoring grounded in both strong academic knowledge and real-world experience. For the past two years I have taught high school English in a classroom setting, working with freshmen through seniors on literary analysis, essay writing, grammar, research skills, and college application essays.

Before teaching, I spent nearly ten years in banking, regularly explaining complex financial topics to clients. This unique combination lets me make English concepts clear and relevant while also helping students with business writing, resume development, and personal finance literacy when needed.

My tutoring approach is student-centered and highly interactive. I start each session by listening carefully to the learner’s goals and challenges, then customize the lesson using direct instruction, guided practice, and immediate feedback. These are the same methods I refined in the high school classroom and now adapt perfectly for one-on-one Zoom sessions. I enjoy using real-world examples—connecting literature to everyday decisions or drawing on banking scenarios to improve persuasive writing—so students see the practical value and stay engaged.
