Science can be challenging, but with the right guidance, it can also be exciting and deeply rewarding. I bring a unique blend of academic expertise, real-world medical experience, and teaching skill to help students succeed at any level from middle school science to graduate-level courses.

I earned my Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences in 2017, and I’m now working on a second Master’s in a medical school linkage program which means I’ve been taking full medical school–level classes since 2024. Before that, I graduated from Wichita State University in 2014, where I was honored to be in the Golden Key International Honour Society, recognizing the top 10% of my class.

Previously, I've worked as an EMT in both transport and busy emergency departments, gaining firsthand experience in fast-paced, high-pressure situations. Later, I became a Lead Learning Facilitator for the Department of Veterans Affairs, where I taught nurses, physicians, mid-level providers, and administrative staff both virtually and in person. One of my proudest moments was building and leading a training course in under 24 hours to prepare Army Reserve medics for ICU work during COVID.

When I teach, my goal is to make complex ideas feel simple and logical. I break concepts into clear, manageable steps so you truly understand the process. I’m a big believer in curiosity, so I focus on the “why” behind the facts instead of just memorizing them. Once you understand the “why,” you can approach any question on the subject with confidence.

Students and colleagues often describe me as extremely patient, clear, and calming, even in high-pressure situations. I believe learning should be a safe space where questions are welcomed, mistakes are part of progress, and understanding is the ultimate goal. Whether this means taking it slow and steady or moving quickly through a review. My goal is always for you to leave feeling more confident than when you came in.
