I am currently a junior pursuing my Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Arkansas. My academic background is built on a rigorous foundation of upper-level mathematics, physics, core engineering principles, and is supplemented by analytical coursework in disciplines like finance. Beyond standard coursework, I hold a Certified SolidWorks Associate (CSWA) credential, which reflects my strong technical precision and spatial problem-solving skills. Because I am actively immersed in this demanding, multi-faceted curriculum, I understand exactly where students tend to get tripped up and how to break down complex, intimidating concepts into manageable pieces.

In general, my tutoring philosophy involves cultivating a fundamental understanding and not enforcing memorizing and practicing material constantly. Depending on whether I am teaching a college friend advanced mathematical operations or helping a high school student grasp the principles of physics, I always focus on explaining why certain things happen the way they do. Working closely with my students, I use detailed diagrams, active discussions, and mechanical analogies to help students better understand complicated mathematical theories.

My background in one-on-one instruction includes serving as an in-class algebra tutor during high school, where I partnered directly with the classroom teacher for a full academic year to mentor freshman students through foundational math concepts. Today, I am highly comfortable tutoring a wide range of age groups, from high schoolers mastering algebra and physics basics to early college peers tackling advanced STEM courses. Ultimately, my goal as a tutor is to create an engaging, stress-free environment where students don't just survive their weekly homework, but actually develop independent confidence needed to excel on exam day.
