I overcome learning challenges by focusing on student strengths and developing their ability to learn from peers. Collegiate studies brought me to a new realization, I am equally fascinated by the educational process as much as the result. I consider it a personal challenge to learn ways in which I can optimize educational results by utilizing the best educational processes.
I have recently completed a Master's program in teaching, with specialty instruction pertaining to secondary mathematics education. I plan to eagerly begin a career as a professional educator. I am excited about the prospect of being an integral part of the future of America, and feel that STEM curricula plays a critical role in this future. I plan to provide high expectations and opportunities for students, to make measurable improvements in academic success rates, and to help close the achievement gaps in secondary education.
