Hello! My name is Dalton, and I am a PhD student in Counseling Psychology at the University of Central Arkansas. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, during which I completed an undergraduate research thesis examining empathy and perceived social support in digital communication. Through my academic experience, I have developed a strong foundation in psychological theory, research methodology, statistical analysis, and scientific writing. I understand that psychology can be challenging, especially when students encounter statistics, research design, or complex theoretical concepts for the first time. My goal is to make these subjects easier to understand by breaking down difficult material into manageable steps and connecting concepts to real-world examples.
I have approximately one year of experience tutoring students in statistics, and I specialize in psychology statistics, SPSS, research methods, and a wide range of undergraduate psychology courses. My background in psychological research allows me to help students understand not only how to perform statistical analyses, but also how to interpret results, understand research findings, and apply those skills to assignments and projects. I believe effective tutoring goes beyond simply finding the right answer. It involves building confidence, developing problem-solving skills, and helping students become independent learners. I strive to create a supportive, patient, and approachable learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and working through challenging material. I would love the opportunity to help you reach your academic goals!
