Hello,

Let me help you understand the basic and complex concepts of science. I have a Master's of Animal Science from Oklahoma State University, where I spent many hours teaching lab and leading study groups. I enjoy teaching all ages. I have a strong background in animal science, biology, and endocrinology. I worked in a biochemistry lab and could help make it applicable to your everyday life. I trained a handful of lab techs (undergrads) who in turn would bring homework questions from genetics, biology, animal science type, biochemistry, and chemistry classes. I also have spent time with my niece and nephews working on 5-9th grade science study guides.

I understand that everyone learns differently. I try to give at least two explanations of concept, allowing the for a better picture to for in ones mind. I encourage reading of literature, converting that to ones own words, and putting that info to a picture and diagrams. Drawing concepts and labeling is very important, as is writing out the process in your own words to make sure there is true comprehension. Most importantly is gaining confidence in their understanding. This leads to true learning and development, not just memorization. Learning to understand science concepts of how it works allows the brain to expand and develop greater levels of learning.
