I hold a PhD in Leadership for Equity and Inclusion, an MA in Technical Writing, and a BA in Writing. Across my academic and professional career, I have built a deep understanding of writing, communication, and organizational success. As a Communications Manager for a large healthcare company, I lead a team of writers and designers, coach staff on effective messaging, and manage complex projects from concept to completion. These experiences allow me to help students and professionals strengthen their writing, project management, and communication skills with both clarity and confidence.

My approach to tutoring is highly adaptive and student-centered. I begin by identifying each learner’s goals, skill level, and preferred learning style. From there, I break complex ideas into approachable steps and provide constructive, encouraging feedback. I have taught and mentored individuals of all ages—ranging from high school and college students to working professionals seeking career advancement or stronger interview performance.

Previously, I served as an Adjunct Professor of Composition at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, where I guided students through the process of developing academic arguments, refining their writing voice, and mastering clarity and structure. While much of my professional experience focuses on workplace communication, my teaching background in college-level writing equips me to help students strengthen their academic writing and critical thinking skills.
