I came out of the classroom to be a technology support/intervention teacher for two years and for the last five years I have been a Literacy specialist for my school. As a literacy specialist, I monitor student data and work closely with teachers to make sure that the most efficient instruction is being provided to students in order to see growth. I analyze student data in order to locate any reading deficits so that I can work with the teacher to correct the deficit. I have a bachelor's degree in elementary education and have a master's degree in reading curriculum. I currently hold a valid teaching certificate in the state of Alabama and have completed LETRS.
