Hi, my name is Kandice. I currently work as a Surgical Neurophysiologist. I have a Bachelor’s of Science in Biomedical Engineering. I enjoy math, science and tutoring in pretty much any subject that falls under those 2 categories. I have tutored for many years. I worked for Northwestern University and taught numerous classes for talented high school students that counted for high school credit. In college I was the Academic Excellence Advisor and was responsible for setting up tutoring and studying sessions. I also worked as a mentor with children who are in the foster care system while also providing homework and tutoring as needed. I have younger siblings that I have tutored in many subjects from their elementary days up and through college. I have the experience and knowledge to adapt to each student’s learning preference and the ability to solve problems in many different ways.

I have an extensive background in mathematics. From K-12 classes such as (basic math, algebra I and II, geometry, statistics, pre-calculus, and calculus). Along with college level courses in Calculus I, II, and II, statistics, bioengineering statistics, differential equations I and II. I have a love for math and enjoy working with students to keep my skills honed.

I have an extensive background in sciences as well. From biology, chemistry, anatomy and physiology and many other higher level biomedical engineering science classes.

I have an undying love for math and science and love sharing it with others. Math and science are very important especially in advanced education. I will not give up until my student is sure they have mastered the material. I have the ability to be able to explain things in different ways; hands on or analytical explanations.
