I became the Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer for women's volleyball at the University of Alabama at Birmingham while receiving my Masters of Science in Kinesiology. In May of 2018, I finished my Masters Degree, and then for the next 3 years I served my community as an athletic trainer full-time in the secondary athletics setting in Tuscaloosa for Encore Rehabilitation, Inc.
In January of 2021, Brookwood High School offered me the health science instructor position, and I began my first job of teaching in Tuscaloosa County School System. In 2022, I received my Bachelors II Equivalent Career Technology & Education Health Science Teaching Certification in Alabama. I taught courses, including: Human Body Structures and Functions, Sports Medicine Fundamentals, Sports Medicine Intermediate, and Foundations of Health Science until May 2023. I became the Health Science Instructor for the Tuscaloosa Career & Technology Academy in Tuscaloosa, Alabama in July 2023, teaching the following courses: Foundations of Health Science, Medical Terminology, Therapeutic Services, Patient Care Technician, Health Science Internship, Sports Medicine I, and Sports Medicine II. This is the role I currently hold and have taken on the lead instructor role of the health science department.
