Stuck on that essay? Frustrated by a paper? I can help! My name is Ryan Ashley and I am your "One-Stop-Shop" for all things related to writing. Cutting to the chase... TL;DR: Bachelors, Masters, and Law Degree; 4.0 Major GPA; Merit Scholar Award Winner for Legal Writing; Top of Law School for Criminal Procedure; Writing/Essay Tutor for over six years.
For those who are still reading my bio: My educational background includes my Bachelor's Degree in Social Work (Magna Cum Laude), Master's Degree in Social Work, and my Degree of Juris Doctor. During my time in Law School, I was top of my class for Criminal Procedure and excelled in Criminal Law. I also excelled in Legal Writing and was awarded the 2020 Merit Scholar in Legal Writing Award.
My tutoring experience spans over six years. My teaching philosophy and my instructional approach are based upon empathy. I was a student once too. I foster academic growth in my students by supplying them with tools that inspire curiosity, open-mindedness, and a hunger for knowledge. In my instructional approach, I encourage independence while providing a judgement-free place to discuss ideas and approaches. Further, I encourage students to academically challenge themselves by utilizing three effective tools: self-evaluation, strategy, and integration. Self-evaluation evolves into self-assessment, which then encourages a strategic plan of action. Once the strategy is created, then the plan of action can be integrated into an effective habit. Each of these tools equip students to become academically strong and effective.
I so look forward to meeting you! Now, let's tackle that research paper together!
Best,
Ryan Ashley
