Hello! My name is Leanna F., and I am a 3rd grade teacher in Alabama! I have my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, and Early Childhood Development. I have my Master’s degree in Collaborative Special Education. I have had experience teaching in all elementary grade levels in internship placements and/or my classroom.
I love contributing to student success by providing instruction that meets all learning styles through a virtual and in-person format. I also enjoy teaching, equipping, and collaborating with parents that are eager to foster their child’s learning at home whether it be in a home-school format, or after school endeavors. My goal is to teach students a variety of strategies, and help foster connections with their interests for them to understand new and old content. I yearn to use the six phases of learning to help students master content, and take ownership of their learning. I am passionate about teaching students how to make goals for their learning, and teach them strategies that will help them be more successful in their classroom environment. Social emotional learning can be applicable in all content areas, and can contribute to their success in the classroom.
