Hi! I'm Raymond, a computer science major at Yale Unviersity. I scored a 36 on the ACT and have taught ACT prep to peers for many years now.
I offer a personalized experience, building a solid intuition for all problems we work through, so that students are able to comprehensively learn from their mistakes quicker. I prioritize making my clients feel like they're on the same page and opt for silly ways to make learning more memorable.
I find that introducing each topic with a motivation to learn the content boosts knowledge retainment and that finding step-by-step processes for any type of problem molds a student's intuition to apply to harder problems. Practice and engagement with the curriculum is key, so I always try to give the students abundant amounts of videos to watch and practice problems/exercises/tests. We will track progress through each meeting to ensure a feeling of direction and progression.
I want each student to have a positive experience with the knowledge they face head-on, making the process as clear and pain-free as possible. I work so that learning shouldn't feel like a struggle and more like a motivational challenge.
