Greetings! I have taught for 12 years in an elementary school setting, where I've worked with at-risk students and students with special needs. I have taught reading during my entire teaching career. I focus on strategies that ensure academic success for students. The 2014/2015 school year was my first year working as an Alabama Reading Initiative instructional coach where I assisted teachers with strategies and provided training to K-12 staff.
I have taught the Common Core objectives in an elementary setting and I also have resources to assist students to be successful with those objectives.
My elementary background and experience allows me to successfully and provide appropriate tutoring to students in grades K-5.
My special education background allows me to work well with students with various disabilities. I strive to make sure that students learn the desired skills/objectives and well as provide strategies that they can use over time.
