My passion for teaching and mentorship grew out of a strong academic foundation and a deep commitment to helping young learners thrive. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from W. P. Davidson High School in Mobile, Alabama, and am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Tuskegee University with long-term aspirations of becoming a pediatrician. My rigorous coursework in pre-health studies, science, and mathematics has equipped me with a firm grasp of core academic concepts, while my honors memberships—including the National Honor Society and the National Society of Leadership and Success—reflect my dedication to academic excellence and continuous learning.
Over the past two years, I have gained extensive hands-on experience working directly with children and young adults across various settings. Through my work as a Youth Empowered for Success intern at Kids on the Go and the Parkway Senior Center, as well as over seven years of active participation in community programs like the Exposure Youth Program, I have mentored and taught students ranging from young children to young adults. Whether delivering one-on-one academic guidance, assisting with structured enrichment activities, or leading small group sessions, I focus on building confidence, encouraging curiosity, and adapting my approach to match each student's unique learning style.
My tutoring philosophy centers on patience, encouragement, and foundational understanding. Rather than simply providing answers, I guide students through step-by-step problem-solving using interactive, real-world examples that make complex topics approachable and engaging. I strive to create a supportive, positive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, learning from mistakes, and developing independent study habits. Whether helping a student strengthen foundational math and science concepts or building effective learning strategies, my goal is to empower every learner to reach their full potential.
