My name is Tyler, and for nine years I have had the absolute pleasure of helping English language learners develop the skills and confidence they need to communicate effectively. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Maryville University, which has given me a strong foundation in speech production, language development, phonetics, and communication. My academic background, combined with my experience teaching English as a Second Language in Vietnam, allows me to help students improve not only their grammar and vocabulary but also their pronunciation, listening skills, and overall speaking confidence.
Throughout my teaching career in Ho Chi Minh City, I have worked with students from a variety of age ranges and proficiency levels in one-on-one, group, and online learning environments. This includes high school and college students, young adults entering the job market, and established professionals looking to strengthen their skills. I have helped learners prepare for interviews, deliver presentations, navigate daily interactions, and really just give my students the confidence they need to speak English when they might otherwise feel intimidated.
Through my TEFL training, I learned how to adapt lessons to different learning styles and attention spans, scaffold new language concepts, and provide constructive feedback that helps students build confidence while improving accuracy and fluency.
