About Me:
Hi! My name is Chloe, and I'm a current undergraduate student at the University of South Alabama studying Biomedical sciences. I specialize in tutoring science subjects including Biology, Chemistry, and Physics all the way from a middle school to a college level. I've been tutoring on a local level for the past year and excel at breaking down complex subjects into easy to understand concepts through smaller building blocks and analogies.
Educational Experience:
I graduated high school with a 3.96 GPA, scored a 4 on the AP Chemistry Exam, and excelled in additional subjects such as AP level Physics and advanced Biology. I earned a 32 on the ACT with a 35 in the science category alone. Furthermore, I was on the leadership team for my schools Science Olympiad extracurricular, a club dedicated to competing in scientific events and earned multiple medals competing myself.
Tutoring Experience:
I have been tutoring for over a year now, assisting students one on one in Regular, Honors, and AP Chemistry, AP Physics, and Regular, Honors, and advanced Biology on a high school level. I volunteered through my high school to tutor middle school science as well as Pre-Algebra, Algebra, and Geometry on both middle school and high school levels. I've helped numerous students with different learning styles and am able to adapt to help each individual better understand each concept in a way that allows to succeed the most.
Why Work With Me:
As someone who has been in every level of science class offered (regular, honors, and AP) and is now studying science at a university level, I am able to easily understand exactly what it's like to learn these subjects for the first time from a student's perspective and what the expectations are for these students. My goal is to make learning science less intimidating and open up new opportunities in the field like my teachers did for me. I want to help you (or your student) succeed in their class and, hopefully, support a passion for the subject in the process.
