Teaching has always been my passion! I graduated high school with a 4.0 GPA and as valedictorian of my class. I am currently a junior in undergraduate school working toward my degree in Secondary Education. I believe learning should be fun and interesting. A teacher should be creative, caring, and engaging, helping students not only learn the material but also enjoy the process. Instead of students simply reciting information, I want them to fully grasp the concepts and gain a life-long love...
Instead of students simply reciting information, I want them to fully grasp the concepts and gain a life-long love for learning.
When introducing a topic, I love to do so in an exciting way that sparks interest. During the lesson, the student is actively engaged and will be equipped with ways to practice the concept after the instruction. I enjoy sharing fun ways to remember concepts using songs, mnemonic devices, or other tips. Since every student is unique, I try to observe my students to see what way they best learn and retain the material.
Since a solid foundation in the English language is essential for other subjects, I love providing students the support they need to be confident readers and writers.
When teaching math and science, I try to incorporate visuals and hands-on opportunities as much as possible to make the material easy to understand.
Since studying the people, places, and events of the past is an important part of developing young minds, I love to make history fun by including exciting stories, engaging activities, and interesting visuals when teaching history and geography.
