An Experienced Math Tutor

I'm Chinedu! I studied Chemical Engineering for my bachelor's, master's, and PhD degrees. While I was in high school, I realized I love sharing knowledge with my classmates. They always felt safe to share questions they needed my help with. It gladdened my heart whenever they left with a smile after getting some help from me. After my bachelor's degree, I prepared students for college entrance examinations in my home country, Nigeria. I taught Math to about 50 students, and I was amazed by their performance in examinations. I also taught Math to elementary and high school students one-on-one in their homes. The results were exceptional!

While in the U.S. for my PhD program, I worked as a teaching assistant for a professor in the Introduction to Engineering course for students considering studying Engineering at the College I was at. I taught them Algebra, Calculus, and labs to about 20 students. I also had office hours where students could come for help with materials that were not clear to them. I always created a conducive learning environment where students are permitted to ask me questions during or after class. I ask questions to ascertain whether they understood the materials being covered. The students' results that semester were outstanding. I also had the opportunity to teach Algebra to 6th- and 12th-grade students on a one-on-one basis. I also had successes with these students, which made their parents happy.

With over 10 years of teaching experience, I want to make Math fun and comprehensible for everyone I am fortunate to teach. My teaching approach is tailored to my students' needs. I helped students master Algebra, Statistics, Calculus, and other Math subjects. I can tutor students of all ages from elementary through high school.
