I tutor math and physics by helping students build real understanding, not just memorize steps. I have a Master’s degree in Physics from Wayne State University, a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Eastern Michigan University, and an Associate’s degree in Mathematics from Southwestern Michigan College. I am a retired NASA research physicist, published scientist, and patent holder with years of experience applying mathematics, physics, engineering, and problem-solving to real technical challenges.
I have mentored graduate students and guided them to PhD completion through technical mentoring, research guidance, experimental planning, data analysis, and scientific interpretation. I have also mentored undergraduate students through NASA’s summer intern program, helping them connect classroom concepts to real scientific work.
My tutoring approach is patient, structured, and concept-focused. I identify where the student is getting stuck, then rebuild the topic using clear explanations, examples, and guided practice. I work with students in algebra, geometry, trigonometry, precalculus, calculus, general physics, and introductory college physics.
My own path into science began with a dream of becoming a pilot, and that dream eventually led me into physics and NASA. I want to help students strengthen their skills, improve their confidence, and launch toward their own dreams.
