Hi there! Ready to get ready for the NCE, ACT, or learn some math? Let's get started!
I hold a bachelor's degree in psychology and a master's in clinical mental health counseling. I also recently passed the NCE. I have always performed well in school in all subjects (straight A's since middle school) and have a particular affinity toward math. I scored a 32 on the ACT during my first attempt, and beyond helping you with the material itself, I have a good understanding of standardized tests in general and can teach you strategies that will carry across to the ACT, SAT, NCE, etc.
My approach is largely student-led: I expect you to come prepared with things you would like to work on, such as concepts you would like more information on or questions you would like to ask. I can also help with learning studying strategies and memorization techniques, as somebody with a poor memory (meaning I have had to develop strategies to compensate). I will not do your homework for you, but I am happy to walk you through a question or two so you can learn the procedure, tapering you off into increasingly independently completing the tasks.
I look forward to working with you!
