Hi! My name is Holly, I'm a structural aerospace engineer. I received my Bachelor's in Aerospace Engineering at UAH in 2018, and my Master's in Aeronautics and Astronautics at Purdue in 2025. I have worked in the industry since 2018 as well.

Hi! My name is Holly, I'm a structural aerospace engineer. I received my Bachelor's in Aerospace Engineering at UAH in 2018, and my Master's in Aeronautics and Astronautics at Purdue in 2025. I have worked in the industry since 2018 as well.

All throughout college, both undergrad and grad school, I was always helping to explain concepts to fellow students in my classes. These days, I teach horseback riding lessons to teenagers and adults in the afternoons and evenings after my full time job as an engineer, and through this I discovered I love teaching and passing on knowledge. In other words, I'm new to tutoring, but not to teaching.

My strongest subjects are math (everything from basic pre-algebra to differential equations, linear algebra, calculus, finite element analysis, etc), engineering (mechanical and aerospace, mechanics of materials, propulsion, etc), physics (especially statics and dynamics), and Python and MATLAB. I also have a lot of experience with CAD and FEA programs like Solidworks and Femap.

Please don't hesitate to reach out!

Mechanical Engineering

Many of my classes in undergrad and grad school overlapped between aerospace and mechanical engineering. I have a lot of real world experience with both kinds of engineering as well, especially on the structures and materials side. My job in particular requires me to have a solid knowledge base of Finite Element Analysis and CAD, statics, programming in Python and MATLAB, data processing, among other subjects. My job title is Structures Mechanical Engineer, and requires real-life use of mechanics of materials concepts.
