Hi, I’m Robyn! I am a tutor who specializes in teaching English as a Second Language to other mental health professionals looking to improve their professional communication and writing skills. I have my Master’s in Social Work as well as my Teaching English as a Second Language certification. I have worked in various fields within social services in the U.S. and am passionate about creating social change and promoting social justice through advocacy, communication, critical thinking, and research. My goal as a tutor is to be a bridge to other mental health professionals learning English and to provide the needed cultural background and context alongside helping you strengthen your communication skills (working on improving fluency and accuracy), listening, professional writing skills, and confidence so you can better serve your clients and communities.
From 2019 to 2020, I taught English as a second language to Secundaria students in Madrid, Spain, so I also understand personally what it is like to live and work in a country that speaks a different language. Currently, I have taught English as a second language to over 250 students worldwide. Additionally, I am currently learning and working on improving my own language skills in Spanish and Japanese so I can better serve these communities.
