My passion for teaching grew from my Broadway training and professional performing career. With a BFA in Musical Theater from Elon University, I've performed in off-Broadway productions and recently coached a student to successfully prepare for a Disney's Moana lead role callback. This blend of formal training and real-world performance experience shapes my unique approach to teaching voice, piano, guitar, and acting.

I specialize in voice and acting coaching, where my Broadway background truly shines. I've helped students from age eight to adult prepare for auditions, working on character objectives, vocal technique, and stage presence. My recent work preparing a young performer for a Disney callback involved breaking down songs as acting monologues and building confidence through targeted character work. For piano and guitar students, I focus on practical skills that get them playing real songs immediately, not endless scales. Whether someone wants to strum their first chord or prepare for a major audition, I adapt my teaching to their specific goals.

My students range from young children discovering music for the first time to adults fulfilling lifelong dreams of performing. I work one-on-one to provide personalized attention, creating a supportive environment where mistakes are part of learning. Having performed eight-show weeks in musical theater, I understand the discipline required for improvement, but I also believe learning should be joyful.
