I am currently in my 4th year of medical school and I have been able to achieve mostly As in all my courses, maintain a 3.75 GPA, and most importantly be efficient so I can have a healthy life. I graduated from Florida State University in 2020 with honors.

During my time at Florida State University, I was a peer tutor at the Academic Center of Excellence for almost 2 years. I was a CRLA Certified tutor focusing on General and Organic Chemistry. I mostly tutored students one one-on-one and used the Socratic method to teach. I believe tutoring should be all about developing study and learning skills that can be implemented on your own. Ultimately, I want to get back to teaching because I find it incredibly rewarding and know the difference study skills can make in the journey of any student.

After college, I was a Pediatric Medical Assistant for 2 years. In this role, I trained other medical assistants early on in my employment and have built on my previous skills as a tutor through teaching clinical skills.

Currently, my main interest is to help other medical students create reasonable and effective study plans for classes, STEP 1 & 2, and COMLEX 1& 2. I am passionate about creating balance in medical training and want to share some of the tricks I have learned so far in my own journey to make learning less stressful. During my time in Medical school, I have introduced many peers to study methods and tips that have helped them succeed without pulling all-nighters and feeling terrible.

I can help medical students Set up Anki, Anki For boards, U World for Boards, and Individualized and realistic study plans that incorporate an appropriate number of resources.

Knowledgeable and Supportive Tutor

Jaclyn F. has been a great help as I start my medical school board prep. She has a solid understanding of the material and explains complex concepts in a way that’s easy to grasp. I really appreciate her resourcefulness—she shared valuable Anki insight and anatomy sources that have been very useful in my early stages of preparation. Jaclyn is also very responsive, providing clear and timely feedback whenever I have questions. Her support is helping me stay organized and focused as I begin my board prep, and I would definitely recommend her to anyone starting their studies.

Encouraging and Supportive

She was really helpful in giving me a new way to make a schedule for studying for STEP 1. She gave me more information about resources out there and taught me how to better use Anki.

anatomy and physiology

She helped me understand how to write a report for my anatomy and physiology course. I was tough at first because I didn't know how to write a report in my own words. But she helped me understand the material better and how to write a report better.

Knowledgeable and Well Prepared

I met with Jackie to discuss studying in preparation for medical school. Although I am a few years out from it, she was able to give me a great overview of how the curriculum works, what courses I can focus on in preparation for my post bacc and passive v active studying techniques for long term memory commitment. I highly recommend her as a tutor, she genuinely cares to teach other students lessons she learned to put their best face forward!
