As a fourth-year osteopathic medical student, I offer support to students preparing for board exams, medical school coursework, and pre-med prerequisites, including the MCAT. Having recently completed USMLE Step 2 CK and both levels of COMLEX, I am familiar with the current exam formats. My nearly 10 years as a nationally certified pharmacy technician also enable me to explain pharmacology through real clinical experience.

My teaching experience enables me to adapt explanations to each student's learning style. I began as a Supplemental Instructor for Organic Chemistry II at UAB, guiding students through a challenging prerequisite. Over the past four years, I have tutored in various settings, including one-on-one virtual sessions, peer tutoring in biomedical coursework, and volunteer teaching for elementary students. This range has taught me to tailor explanations to individual needs rather than simply repeating information.
Students often struggle because explanations have not resonated with them, not due to a lack of ability. My approach focuses on helping students understand the underlying mechanisms, enabling them to reason through material under pressure. Each session begins by identifying where a student is stuck and then working through the concepts using comparisons and clinical connections.
Sessions are designed to close gaps. Sessions are tailored to address each student's specific needs with focused, efficient work. I offer tutoring for board prep (USMLE Step 2 CK, COMLEX Levels 1 and 2), medical school coursework (physiology, pathophysiology, pharmacology, biochemistry, microbiology, cardiology), and pre-med subjects (organic chemistry, cell biology, MCAT biology and biochemistry). All sessions are online and conclude with a clear plan for continued progress.
