I hold a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Management Information Systems from the New York Institute of Technology, earned in 2005, followed by a Master of Arts in Higher Education Administration from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2008. These degrees have provided me with a strong background in educational systems, student development theory, and administrative practices that directly support effective academic guidance and instruction. Over more than a decade in higher education roles, I have developed practical skills in explaining complex processes, breaking down requirements, and helping learners navigate academic challenges in clear, supportive ways.
My professional experience centers on tutoring, academic advising and student support rather than traditional classroom teaching.
As Lead Academic Advisor at Franklin University, I worked one-on-one and in small groups with adult and traditional undergraduate students, guiding them through degree planning, course selection, transfer credit evaluation, and academic skill-building strategies. Later, as Testing Services Manager at The Ohio State, I regularly assisted students of varying ages and backgrounds—ranging from traditional college-age learners to adult professionals—in understanding policies, preparing for assessments, and addressing academic barriers. I also administered the ACT, SAT, PSAT, GRE, Praxis and other standardized tests.
These roles involved individualized coaching, clear explanations of technical or procedural material, and adaptive approaches tailored to each student’s needs and learning context, whether in formal advising sessions or informal support interactions.
