I am a certified educator with a Bachelor of Science in Education and more than 13 years of teaching experience. I am also currently pursuing a Master of Science in Educational Technology and Instructional Design. My professional background includes teaching middle and high school English language arts, special education, and homebound instruction in classroom and individualized learning settings.

I am qualified to tutor in English, reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, and essay support because these have been central to my teaching career. I have designed and delivered standards aligned instruction focused on reading comprehension, writing, analysis, vocabulary, and language skills. I also create formative and summative assessments, analyze student data, and adjust instruction to meet individual learning needs.

My experience includes working with diverse learners, including struggling readers and students with disabilities. I use a supportive, step by step approach that breaks down complex skills into manageable parts, reduces cognitive overload, and builds confidence. I tailor instruction to each student’s needs, whether they need help with reading comprehension, essay writing, grammar, organization, or study skills.

I have taught primarily in middle school and high school settings, and I also have experience providing individualized instruction in one on one and nontraditional learning environments. My teaching style is patient, clear, encouraging, and focused on helping students make real academic progress.
