Hi!
My name is Eddie, and I may be the ideal tutor for you!
I have a bachelor's degree from the University of South Alabama, and I graduated with a 3.6 GPA. I spent nearly 5 years in advertising graphic design with Gayfers Departments Stores chain in Mobile, AL. I then worked as a graphic design supervisor for the Mississippi Press newspaper, sister paper to the Press-Register in Mobile, for nearly 15 years. During most of this time, I also freelanced successfully. From 2010-2011, I worked for Sun Herald Multimedia in Gulfport, MS, as a graphic artist. I am now freelancing and tutoring. My 20+ years of professional experience in Photoshop and patient demeanor makes me an excellent choice for your tutoring needs. With some media outlets calling graphic design a top 5 best bet degree for 2013, and industry job growth projected at some 60%, this is an excellent field to enter now and I can help prepare you for success!
I consider myself to be patient and committed to help each individual student with his or her learning needs. Photoshop can be intimidating at times, but having used it extensively for nearly 22 years, I can guide students through this complicated program with ease.
In general, I favor a "hands-on" approach to teaching that involves a lot of interaction between the tutor and student. I will also seek to discover the student's primary objective regarding how Photoshop will be used (print, online, etc.)
I look forward to hearing from you!
