Hello, I spent two years in Morocco serving with the Peace Corps in Small Business Development and working with the non-profit organization Morocco Exchange. While working with Morocco Exchange I led groups of American college students on short trips throughout the country. I facilitated discussions between Moroccan and American college students covering varying topics. During these trips it was necessary to communicate with local Moroccans utilizing Moroccan Arabic. I communicated with Moroccan families, drivers, hotels, restaurants, etc.
While serving in the Peace Corp I gained teaching and tutoring experience. I've spent two years teaching English to local Moroccans.
Although I am back home in the States I still speak Moroccan Arabic everyday. My wife is Moroccan and I'm currently teaching her English. I'll also be able to share texts I obtained in Morocco which teach Moroccan Arabic to American English speakers.
