Hello! I hold two Bachelors of Arts degrees, one in History and the other in the German language and culture, and I hope to help others in pursuing their own interests and goals! I have three years of teaching experience with elementary-to-middle-school aged children, and successfully co-headed a German-language program with a local school for gifted students. I am a current member of Phi Alpha Theta (National History Honors Society) and Delta Phi Alpha (National German Honors Society), and received recognition through both Presidential and Deans awards with my university.
I have experience tutoring German, History, and the English Language Arts, specializing in essay writing and proofreading. My career goal is to work as a professor of Early Modern history in either Germany, Austria, or Switzerland. I am adaptable and experienced with helping students from various cultures and backgrounds. My joy from tutoring is found in the students, when their eyes light up after a period of study with sudden recognition, and everything just clicks for them in that moment. When a student succeeds, I feel I have succeeded. The most prominent teaching method I would display would be a step-by-step motion, with each activity completed to its fullest extent, or until a student feels completely satisfied in their understanding. I am patient and deliberate in my work, and will do my best to assist in any which way possible.
