I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Communication, a Master of Arts in Modern Languages, and a Master of Arts in Teaching, with additional graduate study in Instructional Technology and Design. My academic background reflects both a deep commitment to language learning and a strong foundation in effective teaching strategies. These degrees have equipped me with the skills to support learners in developing their English, writing, and study abilities with confidence.

I have more than fifteen years of teaching experience across multiple settings, including K–12 classrooms, university courses, and one-on-one instruction. For six years, I taught in the English as a Second Language program at the University of North Alabama, where I worked with international students on reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills. I also have extensive experience tutoring high school and college students in academic writing and communication, helping them strengthen grammar, clarity, and organization. My approach is student-centered and flexible, drawing from methods such as scaffolding, interactive practice, and formative feedback to ensure students build both skill and confidence.

Over the years, I have worked with learners ranging from high school students preparing for state English exams or the ACT to adult professionals seeking to refine their English skills for academic or workplace success. I focus on creating a supportive and engaging learning environment in a classroom, small group, or individual session. I enjoy tailoring instruction to each student’s goals, whether that means preparing for an exam, polishing an essay, or building stronger everyday communication skills.
