I am a university professor of Mathematics and Statistics with extensive experience teaching students at the high school, community college, and university levels. I hold advanced degrees in Mathematics and Statistics and have been teaching mathematics and statistics for many years. My teaching experience includes Algebra, College Algebra, Precalculus, Elementary Statistics, Mathematical Statistics, and other undergraduate and graduate-level mathematics and statistics courses. I currently teach at the university level and have also taught online courses at the community college level.
Throughout my teaching career, I have worked with students with a wide range of mathematical backgrounds and learning abilities. My approach is patient, supportive, and focused on helping students understand the reasoning behind mathematical procedures rather than simply memorizing formulas. I break difficult concepts into manageable steps, use practical examples, and encourage students to explain their thinking so that we can identify and correct misunderstandings. I have experience teaching both in traditional classroom settings and online environments, as well as providing individualized assistance to students who need additional support.
I am particularly comfortable tutoring Algebra 1 and 2, College Algebra, Precalculus, and Statistics. My university-level teaching experience allows me to help students strengthen their fundamental skills while also preparing them for more advanced mathematics and statistics courses. My goal is to help each student become more confident, independent, and successful in mathematics.
