Many students come to me believing they're "bad at math." In reality, they're often missing a few foundational skills that make every new topic feel impossible. My goal is to identify those gaps, rebuild confidence, and help students discover they can succeed.

I work with elementary, high school, GED, and ASVAB students, especially those who feel overwhelmed or have fallen behind. One GED student had passed every subject except math but struggled because even multiplication and fractions were getting in the way of algebra and word problems. After strengthening those foundational skills, he was able to keep up with his GED coursework, passed the math test, and earned his highest GED score after our tutoring sessions.

Another student began tutoring at age 17 performing at approximately a third-grade math level. By rebuilding his foundation step by step, he progressed to solving GED-style problems involving linear equations, geometry, proportions, and other high school math topics and is now on track to earn his GED.

I also help students prepare for the ASVAB and strengthen math for school success. One recent ASVAB student earned an 87% after focused preparation.

I hold a Ph.D. in Environmental Health Science and have taught students from elementary school through college. I developed the PicScience math program to help students master essential skills such as multiplication, fractions, percentages, and problem solving through personalized instruction, visual models, and real-world examples.
