As both a scientist and an educator, I know how critical foundational math is—not only for academic achievement but also for real-world problem-solving. I’m deeply passionate about helping students master the essential math skills that unlock confidence and curiosity in learning. Through personalized instruction, interactive tools, and real-life examples, I make complex concepts approachable and engaging, helping students feel capable and supported every step of the way.

With a Ph.D. in Environmental Health Science and extensive experience tutoring students from elementary school through college, I specialize in ACT Math, science support, and foundational math instruction. I work with learners one-on-one and in small groups, always tailoring my approach to their unique learning styles, strengths, and goals. I also collaborate with parents when appropriate to ensure everyone is informed and aligned on the student’s progress.

One of the programs I offer is PicScience: Fractions for Beginners. Though originally designed for grades 3–6, it has successfully supported students up through grade 12 who need to revisit core concepts like multiplication, division, and fractions. The program begins with a custom pre-assessment to pinpoint learning gaps, followed by a personalized learning plan that evolves with ongoing progress tracking. By using visual tools and hands-on examples, PicScience builds not just skills, but confidence—helping students create a strong foundation for future success in math and beyond.
