Hello, I'm Sherell! I have a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from Auburn University. I have a Master of Education degree in Early Childhood Education from Alabama State University. I am a 7th year teacher. I have taught 1st grade, 3rd grade, and prekindergarten. I am currently a reading interventionist. I have experience teaching and tutoring children between prekindergarten up to 5th grade. I have experience creating individualized lesson plans to best meet the needs of all students. I strongly believe that all children can learn, just not in the same way or at the same time. Since a child I have always had a strong passion for education. I love learning and I love helping students learn. It brings me joy to see students reach their full potential.

Math has always been one of my favorite subjects. I have always loved learning math and it is now one of my favorite subjects to teach. I teach math in a fun and engaging way. I always use math manipulatives when teaching to keep the student engaged with their learning.

As an early childhood educator I know the importance of reading and grammar. It begins at an early age and continues to build. At a young age students must be able to grasp all of these important concepts in order to be successful. I am currently a reading interventionist. I have served in this role for 3 years. On a daily basis I help students who are struggling readers by providing targeted support, creating individualized strategies, and tracking their progress weekly. I am LETRS certified and highly trained in multiple reading curriculums.

I want to help the students I work with reach their full potential. I will do so by providing the student and parent with any resources and knowledge I have to ensure their child makes academic growth. I am easy to reach and always provide a fast response.
