I graduated from Brigham Young University in 2013 with a B.S. in Biology. I am passionate about all things biology related, from the inner workings of the cell to the complications of the various ecosystems. I graduated from Brigham Young University in 2013 with a B.S. in Biology. I am passionate about all things biology related, from the inner workings of the cell to the complications of the various ecosystems. I also crave algebra and the stimulation of solving a math problem puzzle. I love the art of wordcraft and understanding and molding the English language to accomplish a goal, either in essay writing or creative writing. After graduation I worked as a Veterinary Assistant, but after relocating across the U.S. I mostly used my biology degree to create biological specimens in the form of my four fantastic children. When I began the process of teaching my eldest to read I was reminded of the joy that teaching and tutoring can bring.
I have been tutoring online on a different platform for the past two years, and have had so much fun (as have the students!). I have tutored a number of IB Biology students who go on to get a score of 7 (of 7). I have helped several college students improve their grades in classes from Ichthyology to Botany to Astronomy. I love helping students connect the dots and find the fun in the subject they are studying. Examples of student reviews from the other platform can be found at https://sites.google.com/view/reslaw/tutoring-reviews.
I am prepared to tutor in a wide variety of subjects, but my passions lie mainly in biology, math, and language arts. I'm excited for the opportunity to explore these subjects and their challenges with students! I have a number of tricks up my sleeve to help you achieve your academic or curiosity-based goals in a wide variety of subjects. Put me to the test! I love learning and teaching and am excited do so together.
