Educational Background
I am currently completing advanced coursework in Medical Laboratory Science, with a strong background in Biology and Chemistry. My studies include genetics, microbiology, hematology, immunology,, and both general and clinical chemistry. This has given me a solid understanding of how science works both in theory and in real-life applications, which helps me explain material in a way that actually makes sense to students. Putting that aside, I am more than happy to help in other subjects, as I have always excelled in english and also love to write in my free time!
Tutoring and Academic Support Experience
While I have not formally taught in a classroom, I have spent much of my college career helping friends and classmates succeed in their science courses. I genuinely enjoy teaching and have always been the person people come to when they are confused about an assignment or preparing for an exam.
Helping others understand difficult material is something I naturally enjoy, and I take pride in being able to explain topics clearly and patiently. Seeing someone finally “get it” is one of the reasons I want to tutor.
Teaching Style and Approach
My approach is relaxed, supportive, and tailored to each student. I focus on explaining concepts in simple terms, breaking things down step by step, and using real-world examples instead of just repeating textbook definitions. I want students to feel comfortable asking questions and not afraid of making mistakes.
I also encourage active learning by having students talk through problems and explain ideas in their own words, which helps build real understanding and confidence. Questions are a must with me, and nothing is ever a 'bad' question!
