I've found that most students get lost in the calculation and computation (math) aspects of chemistry, but when we can slow down and relate the ideas to real world topics, the pieces start to come together and chemistry becomes a little less stressful. I'm a pen and paper teacher. When you can visualize and see any problem through, it's much easier to get the correct answer.
