Hello students. My name is Kim, and I've been teaching and tutoring for over twenty years. I teach and tutor English, writing, and history, and I have worked with students ranging from 5th grade to college freshmen. In addition to teaching full time, I also worked for a local community college and tutored with Upward Bound for over two decades. Even though I've been tutoring for a long time, I've never lost my passion for it. I love the opportunity to work one-on-one with students. I've helped hundreds of students with writing essays, improving standardized test scores (ACT, SAT), understanding historical concepts, and improving grammar. My experience includes both working with college-bound students and helping students who are just struggling to pass middle- and high school classes.
A bit of personal information: I love animals, reading, hiking, and travel. I still teach full-time, but I've recently left my summer position at a community college to travel and tutor more. I'm new to Wyzant, but I hope you'll consider me as a tutor. I am happy to work with people locally, or I can meet with you over Zoom or Teams no matter where you are.
