I spent an academic year as a tutor in my university's writing center. There I mostly helped students improve their reading and writing ability with individual exercises. I also reviewed students' papers for grammatical errors. My job also required me to work with students from the local high school who needed ACT test prep.
As a student of history, I received the University of Tennessee-Martin Langdon S. Unger Upper Division History Award and the Lonnie E. Maness History Department Award. I presented my historical research in 2018 and 2019 at the Interdisciplinary Writing Conference. My skills as a history tutor include a strong knowledge in research help, citation style, and thesis building.
