Konnichiwa! I am new to Alabama. I am originally from Mississippi, but I spent seven years in Japan teaching EFL, doing research in EFL, and interpreting/translating. Konnichiwa! I am new to Alabama. I am originally from Mississippi, but I spent seven years in Japan teaching EFL, doing research in EFL, and interpreting/translating. For the past four years, I have worked at a Japanese company. There I served as an interpreter/translator, liason for Japanese nationals, and finally as a Purchasing and Sales Specialist responsible for coordination between customers and the parent company in Japan. I still work as a freelance interpreter/translator and consultant to my former employer.

I love Japan and the Japanese language. I learned the language through immersion. I would love to share my accquisition strategies with you. Whether you are a college student who wants to improve your skills, someone who needs it for business, or someone who is interested in learning more about Japan, I would love to work with you.

In addition to offering Japanese language tutoring, I also teach EFL and ESL. I have 7+ years of experience with this subject area. I thoroughly understand the challenges of learning a foreign language. I want to help you adapt to life in the US as well as help you with your English Language acquisition.

Very knowlegeable and helpful

Very nice and easy to talk to with. We discussed basic greetings and went over pronunciation which was very helpful. She gave me a study lesson plan to guide me during my self study at home which is very much appreciated.
