I am passionate about working with children, seeing them accomplish new things, and building their confidence in their abilities. I am a graduate of Kennesaw State University with a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education (PK-5). During my time of study and field experience, I have worked individually and with groups of struggling students. I have seen a smile on the face of a young child when they finally understand that hard concept, when they realize that they can accomplish more than they believed, and when they begin to see learning as fun. I am skilled in developing lessons, incorporating students' interests, differentiating based on students' levels, keeping students engaged in hands on activities, and consistently checking for understanding.

I am consistently acknowledged for my rapport with students. I have a caring personality and make children feel comfortable. In building a relationship with students, I grow to understand their lives, interests, and strengths/areas for improvement. I use that information while developing lessons. I try to make learning fun and engaging by incorporating a student's hobbies and things/people they care for. I create hands on activities using items such as cubes, pegboards, cards, small dry erase boards... anything to keep the student engaged while the concept is being explained. I enjoy creating file folder games and other activities to keep the student excited about learning. I am dedicated to helping struggling students see their full potential, overcoming their struggles, and awakening a desire to learn.
